First Sewing lesson day

Our first lesson at Aubrey Park, Redbourne St Albans. A Quick shot with my iPad as I was concentrating so much on delivering value to the ladies. At the end of this day, the ladies produced a simple garment. They learnt how to work their machines, cut a neckline, cut a butterfly top, sew straight lines, sew around curves. Fix a bias tape around a neckline. Hand hem a neck line. It was a value packed day!

A Starter Sewing Machine for an entry level Sewist

The LS14 is a great entry level machine, it’s compact and can do straight, zig zag and manual button holes. It’s perfect for a beginner sewist. It’s a top loading which means you load the bobbin on top instead of the front. Video explaining the terminology coming soon. Here’s a link here to the Brother LS14

On the 14th of May, our first class was held at Aubrey Park, Redbourne. I thought I will test the waters and I was pleasantly surprised by the ladies that attended! At the end of the very interesting day, all the ladies where able to make a simple Butterfly top. The aim was to help them master their sewing machines, do a lot of straight and zigzag sewing, take measurements, cut a simple top and complete a simple project.
